What should i do with my weak ankle?

I have severly broken my ankle twice now. Once back in 5th grade and once this summer. This summer one was bad. i kept me( a freshman) from making Var. on soccer and possiablying going to state. I am an extreme soccer player and train very hard. All the doctors and orthopedics and rehab centers all told me that next time i will shatter bones and tare a lot of different things, probably surgery. I have been doing a lot of leg lifts such as squat and other various calfs, thighs and what nots. My ankle had began to really bother me. Should i lay off the leg weights and running for awhile, should i tell me coachs, trainers and parents????
