Marriage on New Year's Eve?

My fiance are I are trying to get married on New Year's Eve this year in the courthouse. I dont know if they are open. We are currently in North Carolina but will be getting married in the hometown of Atlanta. Cannot get anyone on the phone every time I call the courthouse. I always reach an automated system. Anyone know if courthouses perform wedding ceremonies on New Years Eve? I could get the answer but that would mean driving down to Atlanta and just walking in the courthouse and asking them since I cant get anyone on the phone. Thanks for your help!!!
