How often would a Kia Forte need maintenance?

I'm thinking about getting one and every one tells me that you need to keep them in good shape. So How often should i take the car to get maintenance if i do get it? Should it be like once every three months or every certain mileage? I know that i have to consistently check the fluids but i don't know about the maintenance.
