Bladder cut during abdominal hysterectomy please help i am so scared?

on 6/09/2009 i had an abdominal hysterectomy and my bladder was cut the doc sewed it all up and now i have to wear a catheter i go for a test on 6/22/09 to where they will put a dye in my cath to see if my bladder has any leakage(other then where it's suppose to come out),by then i'll have had the cathater for 13 days,has anyone ever had this done to them and how long did it take to heal? i am so scared cuz i want my bladder to heal and i am so tired of this cathater hanging out of me( it's like my best friend now) lol i'm just really scared please help with some good ansawers,thanxs
